Barb Wibbels - Breeding Manager
Barb Wibbels has been with Tom McCutcheon Reining Horses Inc. for 17 years. A huge asset to the overall workings of the Ranch, Barb also heads up the rehab and medical care of all horses on the ranch. Known industry wide for providing horse care that is second to none, Barb currently owns a few of her own horses and competes in the Non Pro division whenever possible. “Barb is one of the industry’s most respected breeding and ranch managers,” noted Tom McCutcheon when asked about the success of his business over the years. Tom McCutcheon - Head Trainer
Tom McCutcheon is one of the reining industry's leading riders, with lifetime earnings exceeding $1.7 Million. His accolades include an NRBC Open Championship, NRBC Reserve Championship, two National Reining Horse Association Derby Reserve Championships, Tradition Open Futurity Champion, SWRHA Open Futurity Champion, multiple NCRHA Open Futurity Championships and multiple NRHA Futurity Finalist.
On the International stage, Tom is a 2-time USET Reining Championship winner. As a member of the 2002 USA Reining Team at the World Equestrian Games in Jerez, Spain, Tom helped Team USA bring home the Gold. Along with the Team Gold, Tom brought home the Individual Silver Medal aboard Consquistador Whiz. Tom again joined the team in Aachen, Germany in 2006 as the teams alternate. In 2010, Tom joined the team one more time, this time aboard Gunners Special Nite, owned by Turnabout Farm. This time Tom brought home both the Individual Gold as well as being a part of the Gold Medal Team. Once again in 2014 Tom joined the squad that represented the USA at the World Equestrian Games, this time along side his wife Mandy.
Fernando Salgado - Trainer
We are excited to welcome Fernando Salgado to Tom McCutcheon Reining Horses. Fernando boasts over $282,000 in NRHA Earnings including a NRHA Lv 2 & 3 Derby Champion title, multiple trips to the NRBC Open and NRHA Open Futurity finals, he was the Tulsa Reining Classic Section A Futurity Champion and was voted the 2016 NRHA Up-and-coming trainer. We are excited to have Fernando join our team and we look forward to watching him grow here with us.
Debbie Brown - Trainer
Debbie Brown joined the Tom McCutcheon Reining Horse Team in 2014 and we are so thrilled to have her. Debbie is an NRHA Professional and has competed at all levels within the NRHA and has earned numerous titles along with NRHA earnings most recently winning the 2016 High Roller Classic Half Arab Open Futurity.
Lindsey Seewaldt - Trainer
Lindsey joined team TMRH in October of 2016. She has been a great asset to our team assisting in the Non Pro horses, coaching and 2 year olds. We look forward to watching her grow here with us under some of the best trainers in the country.
Jess Prior - Trainer
Jess first joined team TMRH in November of 2017 as an intern from Australia. Her hard work and determination to be a successful trainer inspired us. She is a quick, avid learner and has a great eye for detail. She has rejoined team TMRH in January 2018 on a year visa, she will be starting and riding 2 year olds here at TMRH. We look forward to all Jess can learn with us here!
Shannon Kernan - Rehab Manager
Shannon Kernan has been a part of the Tom McCutcheon Reining Horses since 2013. We are proud to also offer a full service Equine Rehabilitation Center and Spa with Shannon as our manager. We offer the latest technology, including the Aqua-Tred, Hydrotherapy Spa, Equissage, P3 machine, Ice Horse, and Theraplate. Shannon's eye for detail and rehab knowledge is a key to our program. Running the Rehab and Spa center here at the ranch she trains all the horses in training and incoming patients to swim, stand in the spa, and does all the treatments here in the center. Her care and abilities are a huge part of our program and what we can offer here at Tom McCutcheon Reining Horses. If you are trying to rehab a horse after an injury, or simply trying to keep your horse sound and mentally fresh, the rehab center is a great choice for both.
Cathleen Clucas - Office Manager
Cathleen Clucas joined the Tom McCutcheon Reining Horse team in September 2017 and manages all the office work, including payroll, show entries, billing, and client relations. With her background in secretarial work we are glad to have her organizational skills on the team!
Virginia Haydel - Breeding Assistant
Virginia Haydel started with us in January 2017 as a breeding intern while she attended Stephen F. Austin State University studying Animal Science with Equine Emphasis. She came here for her semester internship and we just had to have her back when she graduated. Virginia has a great eye for detail and is exceptional with handling the mares, foals and stallions. We are very excited to add her to our team full time!
Taylor Polka - Breeding Assistant
Taylor joined team TMRH in December 2017 after graduating from UW - River Falls with a degree in Animal Science. Taylor helps with the daily duties of the mare barn, collecting stallions, foal watch, processing and shipping semen. We look forward to watching Taylor's knowledge grow here with team TMRH.
Adrianna Erdie - TMRH Team Member
Adrianna joined team TMRH in December of 2017. She assists in our daily running of the barn from saddling horses, bathing, turn out, doctoring, to warming up and cooling down horses. We look forward to watching her grow as a team member here with TMRH.
Riley Hestand - TMRH Team Member
Riley joined team TMRH in 2016 and assists on the weekends and summer with turning horses out, saddling and bathing. She is a hard working high school student who has a great passion for horses! We look forward to watching her continue to grow.
Trent Wargo- Farrier
Being in the reining horse business, we rely heavily on our very talented farrier, Trent Wargo, who Tom McCutcheon Reining Horses has worked with for many years. Trent works with Tom to optimize the performance of each horse while ensuring their long term soundness.
